The Great Cataclysm Universe

Poster Factions

What would you do if a small satellite or some kind of asteroid were the only thing you could see when looking through your window?

Over the centuries, various civilizations have watched while an enormous rock crystal approached their planets. The most common reaction to the arrival of the Great Cataclysm has always been the same: to think of it as the end of the world. But it turns out that this is not the case, at least for those who survive the process of geoassimilation. The mysterious celestial body wanders through space on an unknown path, attracting shards of planets populated by very different civilizations into its orbit. Even if this is always a traumatic change, these peoples have adapted over time and they struggle to survive in a new world, as dangerous as it is full of opportunities. As they reconstruct their lives, some even seek to unravel the mystery surrounding the Great Cataclysm, the crystal and the transport mirrors, while battling new enemies or negotiating with unexpected allies. Enter a world of epic stories and unexplored places, where creatures no stranger than you have had to adapt to protect their people, their ideals or their knowledge.

Fungal Kingdoms

The mycosians are a group of species born from the crossbreeding of fungus and animal in a forgotten era. They defend organic life from the perspective of balance and biological and matter cycles. For them, death is life, because matter is decomposed and recycled to generate new beings: the important thing is to preserve the balance of the whole, which they call The Sacred Cycle.

Their deity, The Great Spore, is a huge creature, considered by the Mycosians as the protector of balance, an intelligent macrospore that will only germinate at the end of the world, by the time the machines will have consumed everything.

Automatonia

Automata are mechanical beings with the appearance of chess pieces, designed and programmed centuries ago to help the so-called Ancient Being wage war against the primitive Mycosians. However, the automatons went their own way and turned their backs on their creators, who eventually became extinct.

The automaton civilisation has well-defined social classes, where individuality only exists among the upper classes. This faction pursues at all costs what they call the Ultimate Goal, a piece of code supposedly hidden in the king of the automatons that will lead them to form a perfect world (provided they faithfully follow the mysterious designs of their king).

Automatonia

Once linked to Mycosia, this land is still a geologist's paradise: rich in minerals, colorful landforms and even some active volcanoes. Automatons built their factories and cities on many of these formations, making the most of their potential. Automatonia is without a doubt the faction with the most developed industry in the entire Great Cataclysm.

The Core

The core of the Great Cataclysm is its original island, its gravitational center and responsible for applying a voluntary force of attraction on fragments of other celestial bodies. Largely made up of a crystal that accumulates a great deal of energy, this no-man's land of mystery must hold the key to unlock the reason for this coliseum of civilizations.

Mycosia

Mycosia originated from the union of the three fungal kingdoms, and now is a sanctuary to untouched nature with vast forests, crystalline lakes and rivers and a wide variety of creatures. The mycosians, defenders of balance, adapt to each biome with great efficiency and make sustainable use of resources through their decomposition farms.
